Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to join us at Quin Global as a Chemist. As an integral part of our Innovation team, you will contribute to developing and implementing Quin's innovation plan. This person must have project and people management skills and visionary ideas to move the company forward.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and modifies formulations for adhesives in a wide range of markets.
  • Reviews testing and quality records and procedures. Recommends measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet testing schedules.
  • Designs, reviews, revises, and documents standard operating procedures for test equipment and lab practices.
  • Identifies and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
  • Determines and implements corrections to non-conforming product.
  • Interprets the performance and quality of product; use a variety of lab equipment, including complex lab testing and statistical process control programs for lab equipment.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data and prepare technical reports for use by production and management personnel. Adjusts formulas and processes based on test results.
  • Supervises or oversees of the departments’ operation and personnel performing testing and reporting test results.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques preferred.
  • Experience with instrument maintenance preferred.
  • Strong project management skills required. Advanced technical/scientific report writing skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience implementing quality management systems for Analytical Chemistry.
  • Experience with ISO/IEC

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry field is preferred
  • 3-5 years prior experience in production is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, core hours as discussed with supervisor.

Travel:

Travel is expected 0-10% of the time for this position.
